A very interesting day out – even if you have never heard of the Great Train Robbery, or didn’t realise that Travelling Post Office Trains no longer travel the length and breadth of Great Britain!
Visit our new TPO display coach (from 12.30pm) - includes a "TV Theatre” & reconstruction of the train robbers’ hideout kitchen! (Robber playing Monopoly with – 'real' money?)
Free steam train rides; Miniature Train rides (small charge), and modern Museum, complete with 1946 Mail Van and Underground Post Office Vehicles!
Buy a souvenir of your visit in the Visitor Centre gift shop; hot & cold food & drink also sold in the Visitor Centre.
