School Visits:

The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is set in 27 acres in the village of Quainton in the beautiful Aylesbury Vale. The Centre is a working steam museum and there is always something going on.

A full educational programme has been developed covering most of the curriculum. An exciting day’s visit could include:

A guided tour
A full size train ride and or a miniature train ride
A view of the Dining Coach from Queen Victoria’s Royal Train
The Churchill Coach in which Winston Churchill and Dwight D. Eisenhower planned the D-Day landings on the north coast of France, and much more.

Worksheets that are adapted to the various age groups are available, or, for the very young a pictorial spotting sheet.

There is too much here to cram into one day, however we can arrange a day looking at one aspect, e.g. art, technology or science.

Alternatively we could visit your school for a day or part of a day in preparation or as a follow up.
