Children's Parties

All Aboard for your child's birthday party at The Railway!

Let your birthday boy or girl come and spend the day at The Railway with their friends for their birthday! Have steam train rides, see the engines and museum and enjoy party food! Available on Sundays and some Wednesdays only (as this is when we have steam trains running). Minimum of 8 Children. Available between April and October (and February half term) - please call to enquire about dates - 01296 655720.

The cost is £15 per child.  This includes: 

• Entry to the Centre for the whole day from 10.30am – 4.30/5.00pm, use and viewing of the whole site as a normal visitor.
• Children’s party food and drink – see below.
• Unlimited steam train rides for all children and adults. Including 1 footplate ride for the birthday child upfront with the driver plus one adult (subject to availability and at the discretion of the crew).
• A miniature steam train ride for each child (subject to availability).
• Decorations in the birthday area.

First 2 adults admitted free - other adults or siblings over 5 years old (under 5s are free) are £8 each for entry to the Centre (excludes food and miniature train ride). Food can be purchased from our café.    

Children’s Party Menu Example

A selection of sandwiches on white / brown bread, mini sausage rolls, chicken nuggets, crisps, mini sausages, vegetable sticks,  ice cream, squash/water.

We will require a deposit of £25. The outstanding balance is to be paid 10 days before the party day. All amounts include VAT where applicable.  Deposits are non-refundable.
