SHOWBUS

SHOWBUS

We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting SHOWBUS 2024, which will be held on Sunday 29th September 2024 – so put the date in your diaries now; get those buses registered and your visitor tickets pre-booked!

This is the UK’s biggest annual Bus Rally, which is moving to Quainton for the first time! There will be the opportunity for visitors to ride on some of the exhibits around the local countryside.

For those who like to arrive using public transport, there are many ways of getting to us. Click here for all the options: https://showbus.com/subind1/railheads.htm (This includes a bus service operating from Aylesbury train station.)

You can also take a bus to visit Bicester Village, Waddesdon Manor and Claydon House: https://showbus.com/subind1/trips.htm

You will be pleased to hear that the SHOWBUS Traders’ Village will make a welcome return. We are even going to offer an excursion to Bicester Village for those who would rather go shopping than look around the buses!! To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Routemaster, a parade of the iconic London buses will run from Aylesbury starting at Chiltern View Garden Centre to arrive here at midday.

Find all the details here for timetables and entries!

As we are a heritage railway, there will of course be lots of other things to see and do during your visit, including train rides behind a restored steam locomotive; the fabulous railway museum to look around; rides on the miniature railway (£1.50 per person) and the opportunity to watch the model railway at work. We also have a Travelling Post Office with interesting displays and a chance to learn how mail was sorted. Lots to see and do so it’s a whole day out! Exhibitors will have free entry (driver plus up to 5 passengers per bus). Contact us for more details on 01296 655720.
