How to Get Here

Watch out for the brown signs off A413 at Whitchurch.

See below for HS2 road closures!

SatNav postcode: HP22 4BY

Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is on the outskirts of Quainton, a village situated half way between Bicester and Aylesbury just off the A41, and south of Buckingham. Watch out for our brown railway attraction signs off the A413 at Whitchurch. If you are coming from Aylesbury direction, due to lots of new housing developments which upset some SatNav systems, we advise you to remain on the A41 until you have nearly reached Waddesdon, then follow the signs. Please be aware of road closures – click here for latest closure details.

Junctions 7, 8 and 9 of the M40 are all close by and the M1, M25, M4 and M40 network makes the Centre easily accessible from London, the South East and the Midlands. Ample free car parking is provided for cars and coaches.

By Train

Our nearest station is Aylesbury Vale Parkway which is just 4 miles away. This station is connected to the village of Waddesdon by the Greenway Path which is a footpath suitable for walking or cycling. From Waddesdon it is only 1.5 miles to us. Trains also come in to Aylesbury Town station which is 6 miles away and there is a taxi rank here.

By Bus

We have a bus stop directly outside the entrance to our car park, however, unfortunately, the bus service does not run on Sundays. Red Rose bus service no.16 runs from Aylesbury Bus Station to Quainton and back on Monday-Saturdays. Please click here for the bus timetable Or visit: www.redrosetravel.com. For bus information telephone their travel-line on 0871 200 2233 and select England and South East on the menu.

HS2 Roadworks

Please be aware of road closures due to HS2 works:
Visitors coming along the A41  can now turn onto Station Road and access us over Station Road bridge. Snake Lane/Fiddlers Field is now closed, so visitors travelling from the Claydons will need to continue into Quainton and turn right into Station Road from the village end.
