Planning a birthday party for a young train enthusiast? Look no further!

We offer two packages for a fun-filled day at the railway.

Steaming Adventure package:

Spend the day riding on our full-size steam train and have a ride on the miniature railway, as well as visiting our museum and exploring the refurbished railway carriages in Rewley Road. Enjoy party food in the Oxford Room at a time of your choice. With so much to see and do, you’re welcome to stay all day.

Price per child: £17.00

18th February, 8th April, 12th April, 31st May, 5th July, 29th July, 2nd August, 5th August, 12th August, 19th August, 26th August, 30th August, 13th September, 27th September, 25th October

Museum Day package:

On these days we do not have any full-size steam trains running, but you can ride the miniature railway and explore the displays in Rewley Rd and the Museum. Enjoy party food in the Oxford Room at a time of your choice.

Price per child: £13.00

22nd March, 19th April, 26th April, 10th May, 17th May, 14th June, 19th July, 9th August, 23rd August, 6th September, 20th September, 11th October

Please see below for further information on how our birthday parties work.

Parties must be a minimum of 8 children.
A deposit of £25 paid at the time of booking is non-refundable.
The outstanding balance is to be paid 2 weeks before the party.
Entry to the Centre from 10.30am to 4.00pm is included.
Two adults are admitted free with the booking.
One ride for the birthday child upfront with the driver plus one adult can be included on Steaming Adventure package days (subject to availability).
A miniature train ride for each full-paying party child is included with both packages (additional rides for £1.50 a head are possible at the miniature train ride ticket office – subject to availability).
Additional adults and siblings can be admitted to the Centre for £9.50 per person on Steaming Adventure days and £7.00 per person on Museum days (excludes party food but includes miniature train ride).
Children’s party menu includes a selection of sandwiches on white/brown bread, mini sausage rolls, chicken nuggets, crisps, mini sausages, vegetable sticks, fairy cakes, ice cream, squash/water (this may alter depending on what is available).
